Some of these small paintings, evoking landscapes and watery coastscapes, emerged in a workshop taught by Joan Anderson, a gifted artist and teacher in Boulder, Colorado. Her concept of the Invented Landscape was inspiring. I’m grateful to Joan for her generosity and encouragement and her serene, joyful, spiritual approach to painting.
